Using The DSPFAI/TRD Feature In Unimatic Plus.

There are 3 sub-functions of the the DSPFAI feature. They are the Open Flying (OFR) function, and the Without Pay (WOP) function. Both of these functions in in Unimatic Plus are pretty self explanatory. This section devoted to the Trade (TRD) function.

As with all other Unimatic Plus 'jobs', click on the 'New' button on the right side to begin.

Next, choose the DSPFAI 'job' in the Function List. Then click OK.

You are presented with the DSPFAI dialog box.

Now enter the TRD function, as well as your file number, and then click OK. You are finally presented with the DSPFAI Trip Trade screen.

This is the Trip Trade screen in Unimatic Plus. From the top of the screen down to the Custom area, it is treated exactly the same as the trip trade screen in Unimatic. This lesson will address the custom area at the bottom.

The custom area allows you to create several separate trades, without the need to fill out a separate form for each one. Here's how it works. First, enter the trade that is in your line for which you would like to trade out of in the "Wish to trade ID:" section. Next, enter the first ID that you would like to trade with in the "For Open ID(s):" section.

Next, click on the 'Add' button, and the open ID will be added to the list as a candidate for trade. The cursor then automatically returns to the "For Open ID(s):" area ready for the next ID.

Now enter the next ID....

Then click OK and add it to the list.

Let's add one more...

...and then click OK.

You can also Insert an ID into the list. First, enter it as normal. Then highlight the ID that you would like to Insert in front of .

Now click on the Insert button, and the new ID will be inserted in front of the ID you had highlighted.

Now you can add preference to retain if rejected (Y/N), and then click OK. (Do not enter anything in the Pref# box. That box is for single trades from the top section only. Otherwise each trade will get the same preference number, and you may cause your trades to be entered out of order.)

Now click OK, and you DSPFAI/TRD 'job' is created and ready to submit.

Just click the 'Start' button to begin submitting your trades. Or you may add additional Unimatic Plus 'jobs' before you begin the processing. You may add as many IDs to trade for that one ID as you like. You may also create as many separate DSPFAI/TRD 'jobs' as you need. The Unimatic trade limit for each F/A is around 65.
