Creating
Your Unimatic Plus Jobs
Each one of the tasks that your create and request in
Unimatic Plus is called a 'job'. You may create as many 'jobs' as
you like prior to having the program sign on and begin the
processing.
To
begin, click on the 'New' button in the bottom right hand corner of
the screen.
You
are then presented with the Unimatic Plus Dialog Box.
Now
scroll through the Function code list.
Once the desired job is selected and in
place....
...click the down arrow
for the list box containing the information that you would like to change or
specify.

Now enter the specific info that you
need to complete this job. Then click OK.

You are then presented with the completed
dialog box. Please note that the file number has changed, as has the command line
at the top that will be used to complete the job.
Once you click OK, that particular
'job' is added to the list of pending Unimatic Plus jobs at the top
right hand side of the screen, and the Status for the 'job' is
Pending, which means it is ready to go.
At this point you can either click the 'Start' button and initiate
the automatic processing, or you can choose to add another 'job'
or two. For this example, we will add another 'job'. Click on the
'new' button display the Unimatic Plus dialog box again.
This time let's create a BLDNOT 'job'. Select the BLDNOT
function and display it on the left.
You are then presented with the BLDNOT
screen for entering your e-notes.
The BLDNOT screen is an actual word processor. This means
that you can cut and paste, insert words, ...whatever you like. And
it will automatically notify you once you have reached the Unimatic
e-note text limit.
***If you have a long e-note that took you a while to
compose, you should consider copying and pasting your e-note text
into the Snapshot feature just in case there is a problem. This way
you would be able to cut and paste the text back into a new e-note
if necessary. If you lose an e-note before it is submitted, there is
no way to retrieve it, and you would be forced to compose a new
one.
Once your title and message are complete (the
effective and expiration dates are optional), you can then click on
the Address button which will take you to the Address
Book.
To begin, click on the 'New' button at the bottom. You
are then presented with the dialog box for entering recipients in
your E-note Address book.
In this box, you have the option of either entering the
information just as you would in Unimatic. That is the file number
only, or the file number + domicile, or the domicile + name, or all
three. Once you have completed your entries, click OK. You will then
see the recipient's name entered in the Address Book.
You are able to add as many names to the Address Book as
you like. The names are automatically entered in alphabetical order.
But that can be changed. Notice the 3 buttons (File #, Dom, Name)
above the entry. Once you have several entries, you can click one of
these buttons. Those entries will then be sorted by that particular
button name.
Next, you need to
move your desired entry names from the Address Book over to the
Mailing List. To do so, first click on the desired entries to
highlight them. Then click on the '>' button in the middle. This will move the highlited
entries to the Mailing List.
You can also
click on the '>>' in
order to move the entire list in the address book over to the
Mailing List all at once. The '<' &
'<<' buttons work the same in the opposite
direction.
Finally, click on the 'Send' button, and your BLDNOT
'job' is added to the list.
Let's add one more 'job' to the list.
Now click on the 'Start' button to begin the automted
processing. You can see as each 'job' is processed, the status
changes from Pending, to Processing, to Complete to keep you
informed.
Once the processing is complete, you can then click on the desired 'job' at
the bottom right, and the results will be displayed to you in
"Replay Mode". This display is designed to avoid any confusion
as to whether you are reviewing on an active Unimatic
screen.

At this point, you can continue to add and process
'jobs', or exit Unimatic Plus. To exit Unimatic Plus and return to
the Terminal, click on the "Exit unimatic+" button. The 'Delete'
button will delete the currently highlighted 'job'. The 'Delete All'
button will delete all of the 'jobs', regardless of their status.
The 'Snapshot' button will take a picture of the current screen, and
then save it into a word processor called Notepad for editing later.
To access this feature, click on the Options menu at the top, and
then choose the 'View Snapshots' menu item.
