Configuring Your Search
BidPlus provides you with
the ability to configure your search and indicate exactly what kind
of lines (7 position, 3 position, XSC E or Y, Language, etc.) that
you would like to include in your search. You may be interested in
only seeing one type of line, so there is no point in including all
types of lines only to have to weed them out later.
Start on the Criteria
Selection screen. To setup the Configuration you want, click on the
Tools button at the bottom.
You will be
presented with the Configure Dialog Box.
By default, the
Configure feature is preset so that everything on the right side is
checked, as well as the 'No Qualification' check box on the top
left. The program is designed to include everything that is checked
in this box in your search. So, for example, if you want to only see
XSC 'E' position lines, then you would need to de-select everything
else (except the 'No Qualification'). The Configure dialog box would
then look like this (after you first click OK, and then click Tools
again to re-open it:
Notice how the
only thing checked is the XSC 'E' position (and the 'No
Qulaification'). This means that when you do your search, the only
lines that will be shown to you are the XSC 'E' position lines that
also fit any other criteria that you may have
selected.
Also notice that
you now have a warning displayed indicating that you have restricted
your search by removing some or all of the checks from the boxes.
The program provides you with one additional warning as well. You
will see the words "Restricted Search" displayed beneath the Tools
button anytime your search has been restricted. These warnings also
apply to the
Legalities feature .
**Please Note**
The
'No Qualification' MUST also always be checked anytime you are
looking for lines indicated by the check boxes on the right. The reason
for this is that there is no qualification required to bid
for these lines. You would not need to check the 'No Qualification' box
if you were bidding for language lines because you DO need to be qualified to in
order to bid those lines.
Also note that the Configure box and feature is
different then
Position Bidding . There are no positions applied in
this process. You are simply selecting lines that contain a certain
number of f/a positions on the line
itself.
