Bidding For Reserve
Reserve bidding can currently only be accomplished
manually, and is done so in one of two ways. The Reserve Lines
can either be manually reveiwed and selected from the Reserve
screen. Or they can be selected from the Unselected Lines screen in
the exact same manner that is desribed in the Manual Bidding
section.
We
will use this section to describe how to use the Reserve screen to
select your Reserve Lines. For details on how to select Reserve
Lines manually from the Unselected Lines, click
here.
The
Reserve screen can be accessed from either the
Criteria Selection screen , or
from the Review and Edit screen. To
begin, click on the RSV button in the button bar.
You are then presented with the Reserve
screen.
The Reserve lines on this screen are displayed in the
same manner as the 4 Line display on the Review and Edit screen. You
are provided with scroll bars on the right side so that you are able
to easily review all of the lines on the screen.
To select your desired lines, simply place the mouse
pointer somewhere in the line, and then double click with the left
mouse button. That selected line will disappear in preparation for
pasting. In this case we will select line 1403.
Notice that Line # 1403 has disappeared. Also notice that
in the header at the top, the "Total Lines Selected for Insertion:"
has recorded 1 line selected. This will continue to change as
we select more lines.
Next we will select Line # 1401.
Finally, we will selecte Line # 1406.
Now that we have 3 lines selected, click on the 'Poof'
button to close this screen and return to the Criteria Selection
screen.
Now you are able to either paste your selected Reserve
lines into the existing Bank, or you can click on the 'Add' button
at the bottom and paste them into a brand new Bank. If you were to
click on the 'Paste' button at this point, then your selectd Reserve
Lines would be pasted into the Bank that is highlghted, and they
would be pasted in front of any lines that are already in the
Bank.
In this example, we will show you how to paste them in
front of a particular line that is already in the Bank. Click on the
'View' button at the bottom.
This presents you with the Review and Edit screen for
this Bank. We can now view the lines it contains.
We have clicked on Line # 215 to indicate that it is the
target line number, and that the selected Rerserve lines are to be
pasted in front of it. Now click on the 'Paste' button in the button
bar at the top.
You will see that the 3 Reserve lines, 1403, 1401, &
1406, have now been pasted in front of Line # 215.
That's it! Be sure to review the method for
Manual Bidding , which is the
preferred method for Bidding Reserve.
