What If I Just Want To Look At The Lines And Print Them Out?

After you have downloaded your bid package, you can open it with just a few simple steps. To begin, click on the BidPlus button in the button bar.

Next, click on the Open button in the dialog box that is presented to you.

You are next presented with a folder select box displaying the folder that contains your file, as well as all of the folders that you have previously downloaded. In this first box, that file is located inside of the folder that is named using your domicile, month, and year. To access it, you need to either click on it once to highlight it, and then click on the Open button, or you can double click on the folder.

You are then presented with the File Open box. You will see your file there. It is named using your domicile and month. To open it, you can either click on it once to highlight it, and then click on the Open button, or you can double click on the file.

Your bid package will now be opened, and you will be presented with the BidPlus Monthly Newsletter. To close the Newsletter, either click on the appropriate text, or click on the 'Poof' button in the button bar.

You will find yourself on the Criteria Selection screen. This is where you would begin entering criteria to search for if you were bidding automatically.

But since you would like to simply view the LOFs and then print them out, click on the View menu at the top, and then choose Unselected Lines.

You will find yourself on the Unselected Lines screen, which basically means all of the lines in the bid package.

The Unselected Lines screen is nearly identical to the Review and Edit screen. These are all of the Lines in your bid package including language, XSC, and Reserve. There is no Bid Bank and no Bid position displayed like in the Review and Edit screen because these Lines have not yet been selected. So they are not yet part of a Bank, and consequently they are not yet part of the bid.

The screen is divided into 3 windows. The top window contains all of the Line numbers for the bid package. The Line numbers are in numerical order. The first Line number is automatically highlighted. When a Line number is highlighted in the top window, that LOF is displayed in its entirety in the middle window. You can move from line to line by using the direction arrows on your keyboard.

The IDs in the LOF are displayed just as you are accustomed to seeing them. The first ID is highlighted in red by default, and that ID is displayed in its entirety in the bottom window. To view another ID in the LOF, simply click on it. It too will be displayed in the bottom window.

The LOF display in the middle window also contains additional information such as (from left to right): Days Off (16), Credit/Blk (69.18/69.18), #F/A (3),  Hol$ (Holiday Pay - $147.02), O/L-> (Overlap Hours - 0.00), Est. Pay: (Estimated Paycheck - 3574.15)

Now, to print all of the LOFs in the bid package, click on the Printer button in the button bar.

You are then presented with a box that offers you a choice to print.

Selecting the second choice will print all of the LOFs in the entire bid package. The term 'Bank' is used because this is the same box that is used for all bid printing.
