Saving Your Bid Package Using A Different
Name
BidPlus provides the ability to
save your bid package using a
different name. This allows the flexibility to
have multiple users on the same program save the work they have
completed on their separate bid packages, even when they are based
at the same domicile.
When you review the section on
opening your bid package , you
will see that the folder that contains your bid package is named
using your domicile, month, and year.
And when you double click on that folder, you will see
the primary file for that folder, which is named using your domicile
and current bid month.
To Open that bid package, you simply need to double click
on it. Once the bid package is open as if you are ready to bid, you
can then save it under a different name. To do so, you need to click
on the File menu, and then choose Save As...
You are then presented with a File Save As box that
allows you to name the file you are about to create as any name you
like. Simply begin typing in the name you want to use, and it will
be entered into the highlighted area at the bottom.
After typing in your new name...
However, the original pimary file (Ord03.bbd in this
case) still remains. Now, the next time you go to open a bid
package file, you will see both file names listed as available
files. A newly created file is always placed into the same folder
that the original primary file was first contained. Notice the
folder called Ord0300 at the top of this graphic. All of these files
will be found in that folder.
You are able to create as many additional files as you
like, and then name them as you wish.
Please be careful to ensure that your own
Profile is the active profile
when using the new bid package file that you have created. If you
don't, then you run the risk of uploading your completed work
with somebody else's profile, and to somebody else's LOFBID. Please
be careful!!
