Downloading Your Bids
(Click here for bid download trouble)

The BidPlus program is designed to download your bids as simply, and as efficiently as possible. BidPlus allows you to download any bid package from any domicile at any time. This allows you to review the bids from other domiciles in case you might be considering a transfer.

To begin, simply click on the Bidding button in the button bar.

The first choice to make is whether you are opening an existing bid package, or downloading a new one.

You are then presented with a box that allows you to choose between downloading either a Primary or Relief bid package.

The next step is where you indicate which month you would like to download for. Your domicile code is entered automatically, but you can change that if there is a different domicile that you would like to download for.

Once you click OK, you are presented with a dialog box that confirms the selection you have made, as well as informs you of the name of the bid package file that you will be downloading so that you can locate it later.

The last step in the download process is to simply click OK, and the download will begin. You will be presented with the download status box that will display the progress of the download. To give you an idea of how long this should take, the ORD bid package, which is the largest bid package, should take approximately 45 seconds at 56k to download the lines, key pages, cover letter, and BidPlus newsletter. All of this information is included in one convenient file.

If by chance your bid package is not available when you attempt to download it, then the program will automatically forward you to the bid package status page and provide you with any necessary information.

Once the download is complete, you are presented with a folder select box containing the folder that you just downloaded, as well as all of the folders that you have previously downloaded. In this first box, that file is located inside of the folder that is named the same as your domicile, month, and year. To access it, you need to either click on it once to highlight it, and then click on the Open button, or you can double click on the folder.

You are then presented with the File Open box. You will see your downloaded file there. To open it, you can either click on it once to highlight it, and then click on the Open button, or you can double click on the file.

Your bid package will now be opened, and you will be presented with the BidPlus Monthly Newsletter.

Of course we always get the question "How can I just look at the Lines and IDs without having to do a search?" For the answer to that question, please click here.

**Please Note**
Once you have downloaded a bid package file, that file gets stored in an Internet files buffer. So if by chance you attempt to download again, it will appear that the file is getting downloaded again very fast. That is because it is not being downloaded again at all. Instead, it is simply being called from this buffer. If for some reason you do need to download a new file (because perhaps the one you downloaded does not contain certain changes or whatever), then you will need to purge the buffer of all downloaded files first.

To purge the buffer, while in the Millennium Browser mode, click on the Options menu at the top, and then choose Internet Options. You will see a "Temporary Internet Files" section with a Delete Files button. Click that to open a Delete Files dialog box. You will then see a Delete all offline content" checkbox. Please click in that box. Then click OK. This will begin the process of purging the buffer. Once that is complete, you will be able to download a new bid package file.
