The Bank Summary Window

The Bank Summary Window is located on the top right side of the Criteria Selection screen. The purpose of this window is to help you to better understand the impact of certain combinations of criteria on your search results. The Window lists the Criteria as you select and Search. It will then display to you how many Lines were found based on your criteria.

Please review the Criteria Selection process, and the Bank Overview before reviewing this topic.

Step 1 of 4

For this example, we will start with one criterion, and then add more so that you are able to see the results. The first criterion consists of the 8th, 9th, & 10th Off only. Now Search.

The Bank Summary Window displays the number of Lines for this criterion (290)...

...and that number matches the number in the Bank.

Step 2 of 4

Now we will add the second criterion, "All 2 Day Trips", and then Search.

The Bank Summary Window now displays the change in the yield of selected Lines to 89 as a result of the additonal criterion.

Notice that the criteria does not stay in the order it is entered in the Criteria Selection section. Instead, it is in the order of highest yield according to the criteria. So, for example, referring to the above graphic, if we were to enter "All 2 Day Trips" as the only criterion, then the yield would be 307 Lines. But combined with those particular dates off of the 8th, 9th, and 10th, the yield has now dropped to 89 Lines. Whereas those particular dates off as criterion by themselves would yield 290 Lines as demonstrated above.

Please note that it is the smallest number in the Bank Summary Window (89) that matches the number of Lines in the Bank (89).

Also notice how we are able to do multiple searches on the same Bank. This allows us to play "what if" games until the criteria combination, and the yield of Lines is exactly what we want. Also notice how the red and blue area above the Bank is keeping track of the number of Lines, Bids, and Positions for the entire bid. The red section is a total of all of the Banks while the blue section refers to the current active Bank. Since there is currently only one Bank, then the numbers in both areas are identical.

Step 3 of 4

Now let's continue the example by adding the next criterion, "All Lines to have 1000 as the easrliest check-in".

By adding this criterion to the mix, the yield has now dropped to 35 Lines...

...and that number is again reflected in the Bank itself.

Step 4 of 4

And lastly, we will add one more criterion just to drive home the point.

Here is the Bank Summary display...

...and finally the Bank itself.

At this point you are able to either...
a) continue
adding criteria , or
b)
Review your selected Lines , or
c)
Add a new Bank and continue your search for more Lines.

Please note that this process is specific to each Bank, and that the process starts over each time you add a new Bank.
