The Pass View

There are two views from which to begin your work. They are The Pass View & The Load View .

The Pass View is generally used when you want to create a specific itinerary for one or more cities. The Load View is generally used when you have one or more city pairs for which you would like to check the loads on several different dates. Very handy for commuters! The Pass View allows you to add as many cities as you like. It will then go online and automatically retrieve the schedules and loads for all of the cities in your itinerary, regardless of how many there are, or the different dates that they may occur on.

When the Apollo Plus feature is first opened, you are presented with the Pass View. The Pass View is divided into two parts. The "cover" of the Pass is displayed in the top view, and the Summary view is the bottom view.

To begin, click on the 'New' button in the lower left hand corner. This action will change the top view and present you with a ''Pass" that is ready to be filled out.

Next, double click on the 'From' field. You will be presented with a dialog box requesting you to enter the departure city for your itinerary.

Once that is complete, click OK, and you will see that the 'From' field now contains the departure city.

Now go to the first 'To' field and double click on it to begin filling in the rest of your itinerary. This time you are presented with a slightly different dialog box. In this box, fill in the arrival city of the first leg. Next, click on the 'Date' button and then click on the desired date of travel for this leg. After that, click on the 'Flight #' button and enter the flight number if you know it. (In this case, it would not be necessary to retrieve the schedule and load information in order to list as you already know what flight you would like to list on. You can also indicate what class you would like to list for.)

However, if you don't know the flight number, it is not a problem. That information will be retrieved once the program goes online. At this point, click on the 'Select From Schedule' button. You will be presented with a message that states: "Schedule information between (dep. city) and (arr. city) has not yet been stored. It will be retrieved during the next call to Apollo".

Finally, when you click OK, you will see that the arrival city for the first leg has been entered. Also notice that the words "Schedule Pending" appear in red for that leg. This is your indication that the schedule and load information for this leg has not yet been retrieved.

You can now repeat the process and add as many cities as you like to your itinerary.

Now that you have your entire itinerary entered, you can have the program go online and retrieve all of your requested schedule and load information.

(If it happens that you knew all of the flight numbers for your itinerary while you were building it, then at this point you could click on the 'Ready To List' button in the upper right hand corner prior to going online, and skip the schedule and load retrieval process altogether as you obviously don't need it. Instead you can go straight to the listing process for this itinerary. Please click here for listing details.)

At this point, you can click the 'Call Apollo' button near the bottom of the Summary View and the program will automatically begin the process of going online and retrieving your reqested information. Once it has completed it's tasks, you can then move to the next phase of the process, which is reviewing and selecting flights for your reqested information.
