Program Runs Slow When Connected To The AOL Nelet (Top)

You may have several programs open at one time, which may be using up an unnecessary amount of your RAM memory. First, try closing the programs that you are no longer using. And if it continues to run slower than normal, then you may have to try re-booting your computer.

Unimatic Stray Symbols Can Affect Automatic Processing  (Top)

You should be aware that during busy times of the month, such as bidding or during the heavy trip trading at the end of the month, United's computer gets pretty overburdened. Sometimes it passes the load off to a secondary computer. That secondary computer has a problem where sometimes it inserts symbols in places that they shouldn't be, which then prevents Unimatic from accepting the command or the name that you are trying to give it. (Example: SMITH^J instead of SMITH,J, or --DSPLOF) Because the second computer placed that (^, or --) symbol in the name or in front of the function, Unimatic would respond with an error message, which would prevent you from completing a trip trade or uploading your bids, for example.

The problem is with Unimatic, not with BidPlus. You will see that if you try it later, or tomorrow, the problem will have cleared up. It will happen whether or not you are using BidPlus.

Screen Display Problems  (Top)

The BidPlus Millennium program is designed to run at a resolution of 800x600 due to the specific screen mapping that we use.

You should also try changing from Large fonts to Small fonts. This will sometimes make a difference.

Another thing to check is the specs on your monitor regarding it's refresh rates. You may need to contact the manufacturer for this. The referesh rate for you monitor when set at 800x600 may need to be changed. In the screen area section you should click the advanced button and then go to the Refresh tab.  For the 800x600 resolution, make sure that the hz checked is specific for your monitor. You may need to play with it to find the one that works. But contacting your manufacturer is still recommended.

If you are encountering any problems with your display, click  on Start->Settings->Control Panel->double click the Display icon->choose the Settings Tab.
