The Browser Button Bar

The buttons in the button bar at the top of the Browser screen are designed to help you navigate your way around the Internet.

Starting on the left, the 'Back' button will take you back to the previous web pages that you have visited, in the order that you visited them.

The 'Forward' button will take you forward again through the web pages you just used the 'Back' button to go back through. When you first start your surfing session, neither button is lit up until you have started navigating.

The 'Stop' button will stop the process of building and displaying a web page if it appears to be taking too long.

After the Stop button has been clicked, you can click the 'Refresh' button to start the building and displaying of the page again. You can also click the Refresh button at any time if the page appears to have been built and/or displayed incorrectly.

The 'Print' page will do exactly as it says and print the displayed web page.

The 'Favorites' button is a feature that allows you to save a quick link to your favorite web sites. For further details on how it works, click here.

The 'Home' button is designed to bring you back to your designated starting Home page. The Home page can be anything you want. By default, we have it set to come back to BidPlus.com.

Here's how you are able to change it to designate a different web page:

To begin, click on the Options menu at the top, and then choose the Internet Options menu item.

You are then presented with the Internet Properties dialog box.

By default, it will display with the General tab at the top selected. Immediately below that, you will see the Home Page section. In the field where it says Address:, you are able to type in any page you like to be your default home page. Just be sure that you enter the correct URL (address). If you are not sure how to enter an URL, click here.
