What's supporting
software? Why do I need to go through the
trouble of updating all of this software? What do I do?
Description: Web browsing software from MicroSoft (tm). Millennium is a browser based software application, meaning it is also a web browser. BidPlus relies on certain Internet Explorer componenets being present to operate correctly. Requiring IE to be installed on your computer does not preclude you from using other web browsing software, it only means BidPlus needs some of the files provided by Internet Explorer. Required Version: Millennium and the other supporting software using IE require version 6.0 or higher. What version do I have?: Open Internet Explorer, click 'Help', and 'About Internet Explorer', the version information will be displayed. Where to get the latest version: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie. MicroSoft Java Virtual Machine Description: Used in the creation of objects and classes (like the new Unimatic/Apollo terminal) and other web-based duties. PLEASE NOTE: This is different then JRE (Java Runtime Environment) which is required to be installed in order to access Unimatic through your AOL software. Where to get the latest version: Once BidPlus is installed, click the Options menu, and then choose Install JVM. Misc: If you're encountering ANY problems connecting, including the error "Unable to create AMClient", or experiencing any other peculiar problems with the program it's a good idea to update this component. Version of Windows Required: BidPlus will run on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. |
